SLPG to Distribute Sandbags Ahead of Severe Weather

​St. Landry Parish Government will begin sandbag distribution in preparation for expected severe weather. Sandbags will be available to the public at the following times and location: 

Location: Yambilee Building 1939 W. Landry Street, Opelousas, LA 
Distribution Times: ​Monday, May 5th, 5:00 pm until dark Tuesday, May 6th, beginning at 8 am and continuing throughout the day. ​

We urge residents to monitor local weather updates and take necessary precautions to protect their homes and property.
