St. Landry Parish is proud to host three WIC contract sites located in Sunset, Eunice, and Melville, offering vital services to support families in the parish and surrounding areas.
Services Available
- WIC (Women, Infants and Children) Program provides supplemental nutrition and education to prenatal moms, postpartum and breastfeeding moms, infants, and children up to the age of 5 years old. This service is provided at all three clinics, Sunset, Eunice, and Melville. The WIC Clinic staff provides nutrition education to all WIC recipients; a Registered Dietitian provides special nutritional education to those at high risk. Also offered is breastfeeding support and education.
- The VFC (Vaccinations for Children) Program provides vaccines to eligible individuals ages 2 months to 18 years. The VFC program is available at the Sunset and Eunice clinics.
